Miss Maya
Maya's Story- so very loved!
Maya is looking for a wonderful home! Maya is a 5 month old Shichon living in the Chicago IL area. Her expected adult weight is 10-12lbs.
From Maya's Mom: She is a lovable furball with a big heart and a playful spirit. She can go from chasing her favorite toys to cuddling up with you. Her coat is a beautiful copper color with white socks all around and black tips on her ears and tail. She loves to explore outside and go for rides in the car (in her car seat). We have a large crate downstairs which she enjoys resting in from time to time during the day. At night she has a small crate next to our bed with her hedgehog toy and blanket from you to curl up with. Her snuggle puppy is outside her crate with the heartbeat going She can easily sleep for 8 hours without asking to come out of her crate.
She has not had an accident in the house for several weeks. She has a bell on the door that she will ring when she wants to go or jumps on the back door. When she hasn’t seen us for awhile she can have excitement peeing but I understand she will grow out of that.
We have started on walks around the neighborhood and that is going ok. She is a little nervous of cars and other dogs. Always friendly - never aggressive. She enjoys visits to the store and everyone she meets adores her.
We feed her 3 x’s a day with her kibble from Life’s Abundance mixed with a little Meal Mixer’s, meat roll or fresh white chicken which she loves. When she has crate time I put a little banana or peanut butter in her West Paw and she loves that.
She would be happy with anything from a family or one owner as long as she is showered with love. It is preferable that she does not go to someone who works long hours as she would be very unhappy to be left alone for long periods.
My husband and I do not typically raise our voices so she is accustomed to an easy atmosphere at home. We have never yelled at her and believe strongly in positive reinforcement training.
In short she is an amazing little pup that has lots and lots of love to give.
